Reason Number 1: Black Friday
Reason Number 2: Cyber Monday
Reason Number 3: Christmas
It’s that simple.
This is my first Black Friday, Cyber Monday, and Christmas as an Internet Marketer (IMer), but I can tell you from researching my keywords and places to get links over the past month forums relevant to your niche may be the single best links you can find. Why? Instant traffic.
I currently only have about 5 sites monetized with Amazon, most of which are less than 90 days old. What I’m trying to say is, I’m not ranking high enough (yet) to see huge increases in organic traffic from these holidays. But I’ve found a way around that.
During November and December there are more product related questions asked then any other time of the year. I can’t even begin to count the number of forums and blogs that are asking questions like “Where can I get the best deals on KEYWORD?” or “What are the best KEYWORD of 2011?” or “Is KEYWORD going on sale for Cyber Monday?” I’m talking about hundreds upon hundreds of people asking questions in my 5 niches alone. In addition to those questions you have blogs (with comments enabled) answering them for you! It’s a gold mine.
The Instant Traffic Action Plan
- Create 2-3 posts (perhaps more) on each site using the following post titles:
- “Best KEYWORD of 2011″
- Black Friday KEYWORD Deals
- Cyber Monday KEYWORD Deals
- Spend about an hour a day on Google trying different combinations of your keyword with other phrases such as deals, sales, Black Friday, Cyber Monday, Christmas ideas, etc. Each day try to find 20-30 forums or blogs targeting these types of questions or information.
- Get a link on those pages! Forget anchor text and all that jazz, even if you can get a plain text link back to your posts that you created in Step 1 you’re money.
- Watch the instant traffic flow in.
I have sites ranking on page 10 getting 50-60 views a day from this type of traffic alone. I’ve only made a couple sales so far, but a couple is a couple more than zero.
Also make check back in here and let me know how much extra traffic you got. Good luck!
